Todd Black
USCG certified Captain Todd Black is the owner and operator of Black Velvet Charters. Captain Todd was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He began fishing the waterways of Cocodrie, LA as a young boy with his dad and the original owner of the boat, "The Black Velvet". Captain Todd's favorite fish to catch are Big Trout on topwater and mangrove snapper. Todd is the 2014 Star tournament winner in the Mangrove snapper division and briefly held the State Record Mangrove Snapper in 2014.
Black Velvet Charters offers premier inshore fishing trips.
Inshore trips can accommodate up to 4 anglers. The price of the trip includes bait, fuel, ice, and fish cleaning. We provide all rods and reels. Just grab your beverages, fishing license, and sunscreen and you'll be ready to go.
