THE WAHOO ARE COMING!!!
Wahoo, also known as "Ono" or "Pacific Kingfish", is a pelagic fish found in tropical and subtropical waters. Adult Wahoo are usually solitary or travel in small loose knit groups of two to three. The are fast with razor sharp teeth. Wahoo are a beautiful iridescent blue and silver color with signature stripes. Wahoo like cool blue water.
January through March is the best time of year to catch Wahoo off the coast of South Louisiana. There's nothing more delicious than Wahoo fish tacos.
We are starting to book Wahoo trips on the Fishheads 42' Freeman. The weather in South Louisiana is unpredictable in the winter and spring months so spots will fill up fast.
